The Best Day

One of the greatest blessings that I have ever known in ministry is seeing my children come to know Jesus Christ. This past week, my little girl shared with the church that God saved her and that she wanted to follow Jesus' example by being baptized. Lily Grace made this decision a few weeks prior after several conversations with her mother and I. We talked to her about baptism and instructed her on how to make her decision public when she felt the Lord leading her to do so. By God’s grace, February 21st was that day!

Jesus said, “Let the children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” - Matthew 19:14

Jesus' words to the disciples were shocking. Rabbis did not typically bother engaging with children, and in many cases treated them as if they were a nuisance. Not our Savior, though! Jesus loved to see children come to him. Children were not a distraction to be avoided, but an

example to follow. Jesus said, unless you become like little children, you will never get into the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 18:3).

Jesus words are perfectly clear to us today. If we are not willing to wholly trust in Christ alone,

we will not spend eternity with him in heaven. Have you wholly trusted in Jesus Christ? Have you

repented of your sin and having turned from your sin, laid down your life in complete surrender?

It is not too late today. Trust in him without delay! He is a Savior who will not turn you away!
